Roy McDonald’s Inspiration for the Month “Decision”

April 13th, 2010 admin No comments

Are you a good decision maker? Well, we all know the answer, we are all good decision makers - if we choose to be.

Each day we are faced with many opportunities and we must make decisions based on our values, beliefs and past references as to how we will react or respond. Every decision we make has a resulting consequence, and it is the process we go through to make the decision that indicates our core beliefs and values.

For example each morning we are able to decide if is oday going to be a great day or not? If you have a commitment to happiness and being an outstanding example for others then of course you will chose to have a great day - you can not choose anything else if you are to be congruent to your core beliefs and values. Now I know that inherently it is our deepest longing to be happy and yet some of us are choosing to be miserable instead of happy, as if that serves anyone. Today, when you read this, I suggest you make the decision of a lifetime - and that is to be happy and everyday evaluate the decisions you make based on your happiness.

Now I am not pretending this will win you popularity votes everywhere you go, next time you decide to have Sunday off instead of work an extra shift for the boss - he will be quiet surprised - however you will begin to truly experience life. To begin the abundant life of joy and happiness that exists in every moment if you chose to be present to your deepest self.

What ACTION if taken today will have the greatest impact on your success for 2010?

Each of us has a burning desire to be successful in our chosen field and yet for many of us we are yet to take the action required to realise this success. Generally, it is not because we lack enthusiasm, or the will to do it, it is not because we don’t care and it is certainly not because we don’t have the information required - so then why is it?

Consider for a moment your environment. At home, at work, in your workspace, in your quiet space. Have you set yourself an environment for success, have you surrounded yourself with the type of people you wish to become or have you chosen the easier path and surrounded yourself with people like you? Brandon Bays says you become the people you assosciate with. Why is this so important?

If you are not surrounding yourself with people of massive action and great success then you have chosen a life of mediocrity to this point.

What if the first ACTION step required for you to be successful was simply to create an environment of success and growth. What if this simple step was the launch pad to all the success you desire? Your environment is a vital part of your everyday life and the impact of the environment we chose to be a part of influences all areas of our life.

What environment have you chosen to be a part of to today? What environments are you now chosing to be a part of in each area of your life? What environment have you chosen to be a part of for your continued learning in 2010?

Remember the actions you don’t take, influence your life in all areas - the actions you do take, shape your destiny and every result you achieve. Take Massive Action in the Direction of Your Goals Everyday!

The future depends on what we do in the present. - Mahatma Gandhi
