XL Nation Values Survey – Good start, where are you?

We launched the XL Nation Cultural Values Survey two weeks ago with an immediate response from XL Citizens.
Thank you to all those who took action - expressing their views and making their voice heard on the values of our community and future of XL Nation.

For a meaningful result though we call for a wide participation. If you haven’t cast your opinion yet, take a few moments to complete the survey. Be heard and shape the community you care about. Involve other XL Nation Citizens you know.

Don’t let this opportunity slip through your fingers, participate now.

It’s easy and straightforward and takes only 10-15 minutes to complete.

Here is what to do:

Step 1 - click on this link or paste http://survey.valuescentre.com/xanobia into your browser

Step 2 - enter the user name xlnation and password values to log in

After a brief instruction page you’ll be directed to into the survey and have 3 simple sections to complete. Once finished you will see a screen telling you your responses have been successfully entered and thanking you for taking part.

News: XL Group and OneLife Merge

March 27th, 2010 admin No comments

OneLife CentralIt’s been a big day for us today. We just announced the merger of XL Group and OneLife, and the launch of our website atwww.onelifecentral.com - You’ll get all the latest when you download the Lighthouse Blueprint there, or have a look at our press release here. Few bits from it here:

Sydney, Australia (PRWEB) March 26, 2010 –

A Global Entrepreneurship Monitor special report on Entrepreneurship education published in March 2010 reported that across 30 countries surveyed, the lack of quality education in entrepreneurship was the third most frequently mentioned constraint to entrepreneurial success after financial support and government policies. It also ranked as the No. 1 recommendation by experts on how to improve the entrepreneurial environment in these countries.

According to XL Group Chairman and co-founder, Roger James Hamilton, the merger will lead to entrepreneur education centres to address this need. “Most entrepreneurs and investors are constantly seeking more effective connection to the resources and connections that will serve them. The OneLife centres we are developing provide serviced offices, mentoring, and a full schedule of education with access to world-class speakers and entrepreneurs. They will also support XL Nation’s mission of connecting change makers to address and contribute to global challenges more effectively.”

Roy McDonald, founder of OneLife, commented “XL Group has attracted a global customer base while we have been focused on a local model and comprehensive support to serve local investors and their families. This merger gives us the opportunity to take our OneLife centre model and expand it internationally.” The new company, One Life International, will begin with its main offices in Gold Coast, Sydney and Singapore, with two workshop retreats in Hunter Valley and Bali. It will begin by focusing on developing new centres in Australia.

Hope you like the direction we’re taking and look forward to seeing you at XL National Day, EBS or one of our upcoming events, Roger writes on his site. I also hope you like the journey we are on and would like to hear your thoughts on our direction.

Roy McDonald’s Inspiration for the Month

What ACTION if taken today will have the greatest impact on your success for 2010?

Each of us has a burning desire to be successful in our chosen field and yet for many of us we are yet to take the action required to realise this success. Generally, it is not because we lack enthusiasm, or the will to do it, it is not because we don’t care and it is certainly not because we don’t have the information required - so then why is it?

Consider for a moment your environment. At home, at work, in your workspace, in your quiet space. Have you set yourself an environment for success, have you surrounded yourself with the type of people you wish to become or have you chosen the easier path and surrounded yourself with people like you? Brandon Bays says you become the people you assosciate with. Why is this so important?

If you are not surrounding yourself with people of massive action and great success then you have chosen a life of mediocrity to this point.

What if the first ACTION step required for you to be successful was simply to create an environment of success and growth. What if this simple step was the launch pad to all the success you desire? Your environment is a vital part of your everyday life and the impact of the environment we chose to be a part of influences all areas of our life.

What environment have you chosen to be a part of to today? What environments are you now chosing to be a part of in each area of your life? What environment have you chosen to be a part of for your continued learning in 2010?

Remember the actions you don’t take, influence your life in all areas - the actions you do take, shape your destiny and every result you achieve. Take Massive Action in the Direction of Your Goals Everyday!

The future depends on what we do in the present. - Mahatma Gandhi

Roy McDonald writes, How to have more then 9 Extra Hours 40 hour weeks Available to you with ease and grace

March 5th, 2010 admin No comments

What would it be like to have 9 extra 40 hour weeks available without any effort? What could you do with this time? What personal things would you like to achieve or what contribution would you like to make? What would this mean to your family ? Well, here’s how to get the time.

If you could create one hour a day extra for you, seven  days a week, multiplied by 52 weeks a year, you would get 364 extra hours. If you divided 364 extra hours by  40 hour week, you woud end up with 9.1 extra 40 hour weeks a year.

How fabulous would that be? How would that make you feel?

You’d have to give up all those excuses like “I didn’t have time to do it”.

What you’ve really done, is set yourself up for success. So how do we achieve this extra hour? Well it’s all about your intention.

Your intention around your day - what time you get up, what time you go to bed and what you do in the middle. Your intention of how much television you watch.

It will come back to you ultimately to your values and your purpose. David Letterman has been quoted as saying “Some people’s number one purpose in life is to watch television”. If your purpose is bigger than that and your intention is larger, then you will focus on what you want and therefore be selective in how you choose your invest time and the consequences of such choices.

The average ninety-five percent of the population is watching an average of twenty-seven hours of television a week. It would be interesting if someone followed you around for a week with a video camera and noted down all that you did in the day and checked out where you were productive and non-productive.

“Under New Management” with your new intention. You will find that by setting your intention each day and completing the actual outcome, you will be the best judge of that and this will give you daily feedback on your outcome. That could be scary couldn’t it?

Take a deep breath now and get into consciousness in the here in the now and realise that the game is up.

Realise that you are in charge of your life. In the moment of this realisation, know that you can achieve your outcome and that you can be a successful Time Manager Life Manager.

Also you need to do is buy the ticket, board the train, take a seat, keep out of the way and accept the new mindset that you have become. Accept the consciousness of your intention manifesting itself, creating the outcome and lifestlye that you desire.

As an example, by getting up an hour earlier each day and focusing on what you want to achieve, you will have an extra hour instantly. To get up that extra hour early, you wil need to be mindful of what time you go to bed. You still need the correct amount of rest.

If you are working long hours, it may be because you haven’t yet figured out how to support yourself or what system to use to make you more effective and efficient. Everyone can sprint for so long. At the end of the day, your body needs to not only rest, but needs to be rejuvenated.

Often people working long hours, find weekends are not rest for them - they try to recover, as they have lost the balance in life.

I talk from personal experience here, as I’ve been down that road many times. If you want to learn something, the best thing you can do is teach it and that’s the reason I’m writing this article.

- Roy McDonald

Do you have an intention to start the day with an  intention? Or are you starting with no focus? Start setting your life up to be a success, have your intention before you go to bed and know that your day will be a success before you go to bed each night.
